Bombay Presidency Golf Course

The club faced a situation every year during the rainy season due to the nature of the native soil (black cotton), wherein the course had to be shut down being unplayable.

All fairways were renovated by converting soil-based fairways to sand-based fairways.

Almost 50 acres of fairways have undergone the 3 phases- each phase of FOUR months ( Mar-Jun) - Six holes in each phase- A total of three years (2016-17-18)

Methodology
  - Remove grass
  - Re-shape fairways- enhance low points
  - Spread 2” of gravel
  - Fix the coir mat over the gravel to hold the gravel layer in place.
  - Spread 6” of sand layer over it- compact- shape and then re-grass.
